Time After Time - Prologue

Battle.

She was in a battle. She and her closest friend fought against monsters and demons. She and her friend fought towards a large door at the other end of the hall. She had to get there. They both had to get to that door soon. With a scream of fury, she sliced through anything that stood in her way. In moments they had reached the door and pushed through. And upon getting through...



*DING DONG DING DONG!* ARRIVING AT AZURE CENTRAL STATION IN THREE MINUTES! ARRIVING IN THREE MINUTES!

Luka was startled awake by the trains' PTA. Looking around, she quickly remembered where she was. On a train bound for Azure City, on her way to attend college in the Balamb Region. She wasn't in...wherever those dreams took place. She had those dreams almost every night for the past week, and it was getting annoying. Those dreams never explained anything. Why was she fighting in them? Who was the woman fighting beside her? What was beyond that door that she just HAD to get to?

And why did she always wake up in tears?

Gritting her teeth, Luka shook her head and stretched. They were just dreams, nothing more. She had to focus on her schooling. Standing up, Luka grabbed her bag and got ready to disembark. This was a new city, a new region, to her. Taking a breath, Luka got ready to begin her new life.
